    This is one of the best articles about AA I’ve ever read. What you call “The Big Book’s worst call” is a passage I’ve always hated, just cringe when they read it at meetings (they don’t at my home group, thankfully). I’ve been in the program a little over two years, and struggle with all the same things you describe. “But secretly? Secretly I always felt that I cleaned up because I made a decision and stuck to it.” Yes. That was (is) me.
